Training cycle "Management of volunteers”

IPC employee participated at the training cycle "Management of volunteers”, held within the project "Volunteers without Borders", conducted by Volunteer Centre Osijek as the project leader in Croatia, with the City of Osijek, Department of Social Welfare and Health as a partner and Novi Sad humanitarian Center as the project leader in Serbia, in partnership with the Agency for balanced regional development of Vojvodina.

Training for volunteer coordinators - "Volunteer Management" was carried out through a timed cycle of two two-day module, which aim is to develop the abilities, skills, knowledge and attitudes of participants in order to develop and / or enhance volunteer programs in their organizations and in their communities.

Through interactive presentations and group exercises, at the 1st module on 24 and 25 February 2014, the participants were introduced to the concept and importance of volunteering, legal regulation of volunteering in Croatia, volunteer management cycle, planning, volunteer programs, volunteer job descriptions and methods of finding volunteers.

In the second module on 24 and 25 March 2014, the following activities were analyzed: mode selection and involvement of volunteers on how to implement orientation and training, the concept of supervision and the monitoring of volunteer work and programs, ways of rewarding volunteers, communication and evaluation of volunteer programs and volunteer work.

In the end of training, participants were awarded with certificates of successful completion of modules.
