The guest of this community meeting was dr. Maja Maric Bajs, head of the Centre for Reproductive Health Institute "Dr. Andrija Stampar "and coordinator of the National Programme for early detection of cervical cancer. 

Dr. Maric Bajs held a lecture regarding the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, HPV, cervical cancer and the causes and consequences of the disease. The gathered citizens have received information on origins of diseases, how the diseases are  treated and where to carry out the testing. 

Dr. Maric Bajs shared a call of the Ministry of Health regarding the free Papa test as well as contacts of Zagreb gynaecologists who are receiving patients to gathered female citizens. 

The community meeting which lasted  for one and a half hours  was attended by 25 citizens as well as by local media. Gathered citizens welcomed organization of such  meetings and emphasized  that similar meeting should be organised more often in the future in order to educate Roma women about their health.

The community meeting was organized within the project “Legal inclusion and sustainable integration of Roma in Croatia” financed by the National Programme for Croatia under the IPA 2012 - Building Capacities of CSOs for Ensuring Effective Implementation of the EU Standards in the Enforcement of Human Rights and co-financed by the Office for Cooperation with CSOs.
