On 30 June 2016 the fifth workshop for Roma CSOs from Slavonski Brod was held.
The topic of the workshop was "Financial operation of CSOs" and it was attended by 14 members from the most active Roma organisations.
During the workshop, participants were informed of the principles of financial management, differences between dual and simple accounting, financial reporting obligations and sanctions if a CSO does not operate in accordance with the law. In addition, participants were informed about all important elements of financial operations and they were given the materials from the everyday work of organizations (register of members, register of employees, travel orders, work program, financial plan, a certificate of volunteering, etc.).
Present members of Roma organizations discussed the problems they face in their work which is primarily related to insufficient funding. The participants emphasized that through the workshop they gained new knowledge that will help them in further work and development of their CSOs.
The workshop for Roma CSOs from the City of Slavonski Brod was organized by ILC in collaboration with project partners - HILS from Osijek, Brod – Posavina County and the Network of Roma associations in Croatia through the "Legal inclusion and sustainable integration of Roma in Croatia" project, which is financed by the European Union from the program IPA 2012 and co-financed by the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs.
