Follow up training "Reporting - from data collection to data interpretation and presentation"

Center for Peace, Non-violence and Human Rights from Osijek in partnership with Information Legal Center (ILC), Serbian Democratic Forum (SDF), PAX from Utrecht (Netherlands) and the Hague Academy for Local Governance (Netherlands), are organizing a follow up training "Reporting - from data collection to data interpretation and presentation ",which is an integral part of the two-year project “Civil Society for Accountable Governance”. The project is funded by the European Union under the IPA 2011 programme “Reinforcing Support of CSOs in Enhancing Transparency and Good Governance in Croatian Public Administration”.

The training sessions will be held at the Hotel Waldinger in Osijek, from 27-29 April 2016, and conducted by dr.sc. Daniela Širinić, research assistant and lecturer at the undergraduate courses Statistics, Research Methods of media audience and Research Methods at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb.

Purpose of this follow up training is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations, local governments and public institutions for analysis and reporting of the implementation of policies related to good governance and anti-discrimination as well as advocacy of policy changes at the local / national level by enhancing the knowledge and skills for:

1. Data analysis
2. Reporting - results and recommendations for policy changes,
3. Development of local action plans

Through interactive presentations and group sessions the following activities will be elaborated at the training:

  • Reporting elements – data , data analysis and interpretation, and and report presentation, reporting structure
  • Report presentation – report and communication, depending on the audience,
  • Methodology of local action plan development.
