On 18 December 2015, a second meeting of the local expert platform was held in Slavonski Brod, on the premises of the Information Legal Center (ILC).
Meeting was attended by members of the IPA 2011 "Civil society for responsible governance" project team, ILC and the members of the platform: Sanja Zutinić, representative of the Association for creative development of children and youth “Vivak“; Cedo Todorovic, representative of the Roma Centre for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights; Ruzica Grubisic-Bondza, representative of the Association for the improvement of mental health "Vrapcici"; Dijana Petrovic and Vanja Krnic, representatives of the Association of Persons with Disabilities Slavonski Brod "Loco-Moto"; Slavica Niksic, head of the Social Welfare Center Slavonski Brod and Kata Jira, representative of the Department of Social Services of Slavonski Brod.
Motivational meetings with local expert platforms are one of the key activities carried out by the Centre for Peace, Non-Violence and Human Rights - Osijek partnered with the Information Legal Center from Slavonski Brod, the Serbian Democratic Forum, Dutch partners PAX and The Hague Academy for Local Governance. Meetings are part of the two-year project "Civil Society for Accountable Governance". The project is funded by European Union funds allocated to IPA 2011 “Strengthening Support to Civil Society Organizations for Increasing Transparency and Good Governance Public Administration in Croatia“.
The establishment of a local Council for Civil Society Development, implementation of Local Strategies for the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities 2008-2015, activities of ILC employees and volunteers with migrants in the camp Opatovac in Winter Reception and Transit Center in Slavonski Brod and the ongoing independent monitoring were discussed at the meeting.
