The third motivational meeting of the local expert platform was held on 24 October 2016 in Slavonski Brod. It’s main purpose was to strengthen the principle of good governance and anti-discrimination on the local level.
Besides project coordinator Natasa Kovacevic and project assistant Marina Baric-Gacic, the meeting was attended by Sanja Zutinic, representative of the Association for creative development of children and youth Vivak; Cedo Todorovic, representative of the Roma Centre for the promotion and protection of human rights; Gordana Miskovic, Dijana Petrovic and Vanja Krnic, representatives of the Association of persons with disabilities Slavonski Brod “Loco-Moto”; Anica Gusak-Krajnovic, Ruzica Galista and Martina Manduric, representatives of the Centre for social welfare Slavonski Brod; Kata Jira, representative of the Department of social services of the City of Slavonski Brod and Monika Prgomet, representative of Development agency Slavonski Brod.
The presentation of local monitoring reports, discussion about areas for drafting the action plan and elaboration of its draft were topics of the meeting.
During the meeting, the participants were invited to attend the Regional Forum in Osijek which will be held in the beginning of December 2016 and during which the analysis on „Monitoring the implementation of anti-discrimination law focused on improving the status of vulnerable groups on the local level“ will be presented.
Organisation of motivational meetings with local expert platforms is one of the key activities that Information Legal Centre is conducting within the two-year project "Civil society for responsible management" funded by the European Union from IPA 2011 „Strengthening Support to Civil Society Organizations for Increasing Transparency and Good Governance Public Administration in Croatia“.
