The WeBLAN conference "Legal aid from the perspective of WeBLAN members"

From 18.06. to 19.06.2015. Information Legal Center (ILC) has participated in the WeBLAN conference organized by the CPR / Kosovo and UNHCR. The conference was held in Prishtina, Kosovo on the topic "Legal aid from the perspective of WeBLAN members". Besides WeBLAN members, representatives of the UNHCR and representatives of related associations from the Republic of Albania and Republic of Serbia that are not the members of WeBLAN network attended the conference.
On the first day of the conference participants presented the activities and projects of their organizations and discussed the possibilities of expanding the network with new members from Serbia and Albania. High Representative of the UNHCR Kosovo, Mr. Narasimha Rao informed gathered participants about the future plans of the UNHCR in this area; what are the possibilities of further funding of the implementing partners.
The second day was reserved only for the members of WeBLAN network, during which the possibilities of applying jointly on tenders were discussed. It was concluded that the network should be maintained and further strengthened through applying jointly for grants. Also, it was agreed that the network does not extend to the new members for some time. Finally, all members agreed that the next meeting of WeBLAN network should be held in September in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
