Within the project "Raising awareness of local community about the problems and difficulties faced by marginalized Roma population in Slavonski Brod with the help of Photovoice" Information Legal Centre (ILC) will hold a workshop under the name „Photovoice“on the 23rd of September 2015.
The workshop will be held in the premises of the Community building "Josip Rimac" and it's directed to the Roma community in Slavonski Brod. Members of the Roma national minority, who will attend the workshop, will gain the knowledge on the basic importance of Photovoice, and will actively participate in revealing of fourteen stories on the subject of the social statuses and lives of members of Roma national minority.
Photovoice is the type of active inclusion and research in which people use photographyand/or video in order to show their environment and experiences, and to express their thoughts about them.
Collected stories on Roma community will be presented on the second workshop that will be held on the 30th of September 2015, also in the premises of the Community building "Josip Rimac" and at the end the best story will be selected and exhibited to the general public.
With this project financed by the support of the City of Slavonski Brod, ILC aims to motivate marginalised and socially vulnerable Roma population from Slavonski Brod to present their problems to the public through internet or social networks independently and through modern media.
